Altitudes & Echoes

Mindhive EP is an experimental, introspective project built around movement, both personal & collective. 

      The idea of flight runs through it, not as something stable, but as something being tested, adjusted & shared across a system. It’s not just one perspective; it feels like multiple thoughts operating at once, connected like a hive.

Each track approaches the idea from a different angle. 

The Opening: The Hive Connects - This pulls from a more grounded place, using a scratch-inspired texture to reflect repetition & movement.

Mindhive feels like a connected hive mind; locked in together, just with a few intrusive thoughts slipping through.

The journey then opens into expansion, moving into a more controlled, conceptual space. Referencing future, research & evolving technology. This arrangement plays elements introduced in a unique style & held in place long enough to establish a system within the hive. 

       The melody stays consistent as a point of clarity, while the bass & surrounding layers operate like processes running in "Task Manager." Active & shifting but not breaking the surface.

There’s a sense of precision to it, but it never feels static; everything is in motion, contained. for now.... 

Ashes of the Hive moves through an elevated, almost sacred space. Calm, connected & weightless. Before slowly slipping into a spiral the melody holds the Centre while everything around it begins to drift, like a system losing alignment.

This track carries a feeling of flight, but not in a clean or effortless way. It feels suspended at first, as if everything is rising together, held by the same invisible thread... 

...That connection is fragile, 

Though as it unfolds, the atmosphere begins to shift. The movement then becomes more uncertain, like lift turning into descent before you fully realise it. The surrounding textures begin to swirl around the melody, creating a feeling of being both held & pulled away at the same time.

 Ashes of the Hive is about the aftermath of connection, what remains when something once unified starts to break apart. 

At its core, this EP, sits between: 

Elevation & collapse. 

Calm &  instability. 

Flight & falling.
